Affordable & Available Kylie Leo Liquid Lipstick DUPES

Affordable & Available Kylie Leo Liquid Lipstick DUPES

I know, almost all my recent posts are bout Kylie, Kylie, Kylie – I apologize.

On Instagram I read many people were not able to order the Kylie limited birthday edition Leo liquid lipstick, because it sold out already or simply was on stuck on a “frozen” page. I couldn’t “letitgooo” so I tried the second restock and got regular sized Leo instead of the mini matte set that sold out in a split second (60 seconds, I lied). After I was able to acquire Leo in my haa-ands, I went and ordered some colourpop colors I felt looked similar  for $6 each–and as rumor or fact has it that Kylie and Colourpop are made from the same manufacturer. Some colors I will discuss are almost an exact dupe. So I tried about 10 colors from my collection that look like similar to Leo, but some when swatched were either too purple or too red so I left those out for the dupe comparisons. Below are the best dupes I could personally find.

Dupe #1: Colourpop LAX is from their Ultra matte liquid lipsticks line. It is slightly deeper than Leo, but if you layer Leo more I think they are an exact match on my non pigmented lips. Both formulas are watery in consistency and have the same doe foot applicator. It is a bit drying and if applied too heavily will crack. Buy it here for $6

Dupe #2: Colourpop Prim is from their Ultra satin liquid lipstick line, that is not trans-proof but matte and comfortable on the lips. I think this is a close dupe for Leo but is more reddish than the deepness of Leo. Also the ultra satin formula does need some maintenance especially since this dark color can get everywhere, making you look like a clown or the joker after eating some yummy tacos. Buy it here for $6

Dupe 4# Anastasia Beverly Hills Heathers liquid lipstick is close in color but a little more subtle color. Formula-wise it is drying but very long wear. Buy it here for $20

Dupe 5# Colourpop Rooch Ultra matte liquid lipstick from their Karrueche Collaboration. This color is beautiful, it has a rusty undertone and not as deep as Leo. This would be the least of the bunch as a dupe. Being one of my favorite colors, it complements my skin tone, whitens my teeth, and really colour popping. The only downfall is after 4-5 hours it does start cracking a little. Some have experienced major cracking immediately. I will continue to wear it and buy a backup, because from all the colourpop colors I own this color I have gotten the most compliments and questions on. 🙂 Get yourself one, fall is just around the corner.

Dupe #6: Colourpop Lax + Colourpop Prim I think a mixture of both colors would help the drying part and the non-transferproofness. Don’t forget to preppare your lips by exfoliating, wear lip balm a half hour before, and use a lip primer. Colourpop offers a cheap $5 lip primer here.

Hope this was helpful and maybe you have these colors already in your collection, so no worrying on FOMO. 😛

Best Metallic Liquid Lipsticks & Comparisons/Review : Kylie Dupes

Best Metallic Liquid Lipsticks & Comparisons/Review : Kylie Dupes

List is below: Metallic Liquid Lipstick & Swatch Video is also below

Whoa, my collection of metallic liquid lipsticks is getting a little out of control. Ironically, I am not a huge fan of the metallic liquid lipstick but I was curious to find a good formula and a metallic that is mixable or can be used as a topper or a subtle lip highlight. Here goes my mini reviews.

  1. NYX – Speed of Light (Gloss) $7.50 & Galactic (not swatched, but videos are on the bottom)
    • ★★★★
    • Is a really pretty pigmented lip gloss, it is heavy and thick but so beautiful for pictures and a fun costume look
  2. Colourpop.com – Man Eater
    • ★★★
    • Is another dupe for Kylie Reign but slightly lighter, comfortable, nice as a topper.
  3. Milani – Chromatic Addict $8.99
    • ★★★★
    • Long lasting, comfortable, feels like nothing, and smooth transfer proof application. The shineyness  accentuates the lip lines after talking
  4.  Kylie – King K
    • ★★★
    • Goldie color actually looks more GOLD than Lord metallic liquid lipstick (just got Lord today and it looks bronzy gold)
  5. Colourpop.com – Salt
    • ★★
    • Uneven, would rather use to mix or as a lip topper
  6. Mollycosmetics.com – 24K $16
    • ★★★
    • Looks really pretty and gold at first, but after talking it gets flakey and the metallic gold finish is turned into grayish-ness.
  7. Colourpop.com – Lights Out
    • ★★
    • Uneven, would rather use to mix or as a lip topper
  8. Colourpop.com – Flitter $6
    • ★★
    • Good enough dupe to Heir, same uneven application, not transfer proof.
  9. Kyliecosmetics.com – Heir $18
    • ★★
    • Uneven application, not transfer proof, streaky, and doesn’t look good on my complexion.
  10. Colourpop.com – Zebra
    • ★★★★
    • Is a better metallic in my opinion than the newest Colourpop metallics (in this list) applies even,
  11. Milani – Materalistic
    • ★★★★★
    • Long lasting, comfortable, feels like nothing, and smooth transfer proof application. Best metallic liquid lipstick formula from my collection. Great dupe for Kylie Reign.
  12. Kylie – Reign
    • ★★★
    • The darker metallics all apply better, feels comfy, long lasting. Milani Materialistic is a good dupe.

Colourpop Metallics Liquid Lipstick Review & Kylie Metals Comparison

Colourpop Metallics Liquid Lipstick Review & Kylie Metals Comparison

Metallic Metallic on my lip who is the mirrortastic of them all, you are Colourpop, YOU!

Yet again, I fall into the need to buy every Colourpop’s new releases (which is almost every week). When there is a launch drought which is no longer than a week, I have the habit of just perusing theit online store..then buy… buy, buy, buy!

Ok, this time I ordered Colourpop’s Ultra Metallic Liquid lipsticks ($6 – all 4 colors in Zebra, Man Eater, 3-Way, and Kween) out of curiosity to see how they compare to Kylie’s Metal Matte Liquid Lipsticks ($18 + $8.95 s&H in US) I am sincerely pleasantly surprised at how pigmented and metallic they are! IMO way better than Kylie’s and for such a good price. (See video at the bottom for lip swatches of all colors)

Colourpop Ultra Metallic Liquid Lipstick – 3 Way: My favorite of them all, it’s a pretty plum gold with pinkish undertones.

Colourpop Ultra Metallic Liquid Lipstick – Zebra: Coppery Plummish Brown on me, kinda like Zebra color lips, without the metallic lol

Colourpop Ultra Metallic Liquid Lipstick – Man Eater: Goldie bronze/Rose Gold. It’s like you ate a bunch of new pennies..not men.

Colourpop Ultra Metallic Liquid Lipstick – Kween: Reddish Gold. Said in a British accent: for the Queen of of Hearts.

  • Price $6
  • Made in USA
  • Size: 2.85 g/0.10 oz
  • Long Lasting: Yes
  • Non-Drying: Feels comfy
  • Non-Peeling:  No peeling
  • Transfer-proof: no
  • Color Choices: only 4 colors at this time
  • Non-Staining: Stains a little bit, easy to remove
  • Scent: No Scent
  • Applicator: Short doefoot applicator, is a little hard to get the clean edges of the lip. Each bottle varied in quality of the doefoot, from fluffy, beaten up and almost lost underneath product.
  • Consistency: Pigmented. Chunky with almost like smashed lipstick textured. Had to swirl the tube to get product for 1 of the tubes
  • Website: www.colourpop.com
  • Physical Store: None
  • Ships From: Oxnard, CA USA
  • Packaging: Their usual liquid lipstick in white packaging but the ends are in light brown
  • Notes:
I Love how pigmented these are, they are super comfortable that I forget I am wearing it. It works great as a matte liquid lipstick topper or as a lip highlighter. The colors are beautiful. I think I will need to get some backups in there next restock (#2 restock) They did say they were limited, yet already had a restock and planning on the 2nd restock.
  • Compared to Kylie’s metals’ Heir was my least favorite because it was streaky, sheer, and didn’t show up well. I think colourpop’s version is a better kylie formulation but not top notch. As for dupes I think Colourpop Zebra is a good dupe for Reign, and Man Eater is siblings to King K. (see picture below for comparison)

Colorful Liquid Lipstick Swatches

Colorful Liquid Lipstick Swatches

You know me I am always trying to swatch makeup in different cute ways. Enjoy my little flower swatches with mini reviews of each below.

Stila – Como ($24) : Stay all day liquid lipstick is neon magenta/hot purple look when on the lips. It’s comfortable  and buildable.

Colourpop – Lyin’ King ($6) : Ultra satin liquid lipstick that is long wear but not transfer proof. It’s all vegan and cruelty free. I would say this color looks like a red berry on me.

Colourpop – Jellies ($6) : Ultra Matte liquid lipstick is a little hard to apply because it’s a bit drying. Fun and affordable color for halloween costume looks etc.

Dose of Colors – Berry Me 2 ($18) : Liquid-matte lipstick is a pretty berry color, it really brightens and complements my NC15-NC25 skin. Sometimes I find the applicator a little hard to maneuver to get the clean edges. I have not worn it all day but it is comfortable. A nice dupe is the colourpop panda ultra satin, apply and blot off excess and it looks exactly the same. See picture below.

Anastasia Beverly hills – Electric Coral ($20): Liquid lipstick is a neon coral, it applies nicely. I don’t wear this color often as I am not a huge fan of coral, but this was once of my few first liquid lipsticks I got at Phamexpo for a discounted price and it’s a Springy color. 🙂 *Yesterday I just received the new ABH liquid lipsticks in Dolce, Stripped, Crushed, Kathryn, and Naked look out for my swatch and review post.*

Caked Makeup Lip Fondant – Creme de la creme Best Dolce K Dupe

Caked Makeup Lip Fondant – Creme de la creme Best Dolce K Dupe

First time I heard of Caked.co liquid lipsticks was on Instagram. I was drawn to the super cute packaging and the formula looked really good on the lip swatches so I decided to buy one $16 and try for myself. The color that I got was creme de la creme and it actually looks exactly like Kylie’s Dolce K on my lips but with the better formula and way more comfortable! Even better it smells like frosting, I immediately fell in love.

Caked Makeup resides in Florida and boasts 100% vegan and cruelty-free, the norm of most liquid lipsticks these days. What I was most impressed by was they added a manufactured date and expiration date on the packaging. In addition, some ingredients of jojoba oil, kaolin, and vitamin E caught my eye. They are fairly new and hopefully they add a lot more colors to their line, because I’d like to try more colors.

Kylie Dolce K Dupes Swatches & Review

Kylie Dolce K Dupes Swatches & Review

Updated with video: 8/16/2016

Don’t mind the messy swatches it’s harder than it looks to swatch liquid lipsticks on the palm of your hand. The reason why I used my palm is I was thinking that it would closest to the the texture of my lips. Enjoy my break down below. 🙂

Let’s talk about each color compared to Kylie’s Dolce K Liquid Lipstick: All her lipkits are currently sold out but she announces the releases on her Kylie Jenner app. http://www.kyliecosmetics.com

Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit in Dolce K + Lipliner- $29 + $8.95 shipping

  1. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow & Arrow ($20): is a nice color, comfortable wear, and can be buildable in deepness to Dolce K. Buy Kat Von D – Bow & Arrow here
  2. Colourpop Beeper Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6) : There has been much debate on social media as a dupe for Dolce K. Beeper is a really nice color, and I get compliments on it when I go out, but on me it does not look anything like Dolce K. The wear is comfortable and slightly satin finish. Buy Colourpop Beeper here
  3. Colourpop Chi Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick ($6) : Before Chi came out Beeper was the most raved dupe for Dolce K, after I did a side-by-side swatch on my instagram many people commented that it was a good dupe for Dolce K. In my opinion Chi is more creamy in application, comfortable wear and less warmer than Dolce K.
  4. Colourpop Times Square Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick: I love this color but it is now discontinued in the mini kit, hopefully they bring it back because Bianca from the same kit is coming back! (Announced on Colourpopfun instagram, follow her for most recent updates). Times Square is great brownie nude color on me and a fairly popular color, in comparison to Dolce K it’s within the family but Dolce K is darker and dryer on me.
  5. Colourpop Mess Around Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick ($6) : I just threw this in there for the fun of it and because someone on instagram wondered.Buy Colourpop Mess Around
  6. Sephora Collection Color Lip Last in Brown is Back 04 ($14): is a lipstick that goes on nice and creamy and dries to a matte finish. This is a color I thought Dolce K would look on me, but Dolce K looks darker with wear, and is super drying, patchy and flakey unfortunately. This formula has the exact same scent as the Ulta lipsticks which are $8. Buy Sephora – Brown is Back Lipstick Here

What colors do you think are dupes for dolce k?
