Again, just like when the Kaepop launched, I had dreamt I woke up to make my purchase..or maybe I was half asleep checking the site in reality. It was hard to tell. This time I didn’t put an alarm on because on a usual day I get up to check my phone at 5am. So I got on the site and the Satin lip items were posted, without planning which lippies I was going to order I quickly made my planned-impulsive buy (ordered: Tansy, Echo Park, Dopey, Frick N’ Frack, and Magic Wand+ Platform & 3 other eye shadows.) just so I can make sure things are in stock and that I can get my order shipped to me fast! After that I went back on the website to look at product details closely as well as the pictures, yes I did it backward 🙂
This time I wish I would’ve seen or knew they offered was a lippie primer (was mentioned in the Satin lips product info)! It is made with avocado, mango, shea butter and vitamin E for only $5 compared to my Urban Decay Ozone pencil which is $20! Colourpop claims it helps with filling the lips with microbeads to smooth and plump the lips. It supposedly helps with feathering, keeps color long lasting, moisturizing and makes the intensity of the color the same or more intensified. Nice claims and for $5 it’s a steal, supposedly it works for all lip products, that would include lippie stix, satin lips and matte lipsticks. Well I guess till next time …I linked the product below. Happy Shopping! (Updated at 4:20pm pst)
Here is a look book of Colourpop Newly Formulated Satin Liquid Lipsticks, which launch tomorrow 2/25/16!! Can’t wait to get my lips on a few of these babies 🙂 Which ones are you looking to buy?
Before I purchased these Colourpop blushes I read many reviews on their website and on makeupalley. Colourpop’s blushes are all creamy like their eye shadows and they really have high color pay off and it lasts all day for me! Applying it with my finger I dab some it around the cheeks then buff (beat) my cheeks with a beauty blender. It makes the blush look natural and again it is still there at the end of the day. Hello Blush, thanks for sticking around.

🎀 New Formula
🎀 Satin Finish
🎀 Does not dry like Ultra mattes
🎀 Not Transfer proof
🎀 Launching 2|25
It’s been a few weeks since Colour Kaepop launched and I was able to get my hands quickly on these little babies. Below you can read a quick review for each color.
- Colourpop Rooch – Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick : Rooch is not a color I would usually go for, but it is definitely a nice brick almost deep rusty color that actually brightens up my skin. The formula is on the dryer side and it took me 3 dips to get my whole lip. It is a whole lotta mess when you remove it unfortunately.
- Colourpop Kae – Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick: Kae reminds me of Dose of colors Chocolate Wasted, on me it is a very true dark brown. Again this formula is drying where I had to dip into the bottle a few times to get my whole lip. It can dry and flake if I don’t use a lip primer or lip balm before.
- Colourpop Chi – Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick: Chi is a color I am always drawn to.This formula compared to Kae & Rooch is so much more creamier, and actually dries with a slight satin finish. It is the most comfortable and my favorite of the 3, formula and colorwise.
I have been thoroughly impressed by Colourpop’s launches, collabs, product prices, and all the selection they offer. Just be aware that especially for the liquid lipsticks different colors have a different finish, look different on different color lips or texture of lips . I am pretty sure it takes different color ingredients to create that specific color so formulas’ outcome can vary. This is what I noticed among other brands of liquid lipsticks as well.
