Colourpop Fall 2016 Edit & Labor Day Promo Liquid Lipstick Swatches
My fall swatch design for Colourpop cosmetics. The colors Viper, Love Bug, Notion, and Times Square (brought back from the grave) was free with purchase during the Labor Day weekend. I haven’t had the chance to wear all of them on my lips for the whole day so I can’t give a thorough review but overall, the colors are nice except Love bug’s formula was dry and flaked off in minutes. Of these colors they will bring back Love Bug by popular demand tomorrow 10am 9/15 along with other new colors, hopefully since they are a lab they will fix the formula. My favorite colors and formula-wise are Times Square and Notion. In the below picture I started adding more colourpop liquid lipstick swatches for your comparison, hopefully it can help you make a decision if you are on the fence about certain colors that you may think are similar. Milani Mattallic Liquid Lipstick Swatches & New Fall liquid lipstick Colors released
Of all the metallic liquid lipsticks I own these stay put all day without drying my lips. Some colors do stain the lips hot pink. I love the smell, its sugary sweet very similar to Kylie lip kits. What is the Best Beauty Blender Soap?
When I first heard of the beautyblender a couple years ago I was a skeptic, but now I am blendliever! They just blend foundation on the skin so flawlessly and applying setting powder to the undereye is a dream. I have a few (like 4 of themin black and pink) blenders for myself and a couple (pink, purple, & tiny neon green) in my makeup kit. Sometimes these stinking things are easy to clean and sometimes it takes almost 5 washes to get the stubborn foundations out. Recently I watched celebrity makeup artist/entrepreneur Priscilla Ono snap the way she cleans her bbs. It was really helpful! She would soaked her bbs in hot water with the beautyblender liquid soap for 15 minutes or so, then wash it. If the stains are hard to get out I think leaving it in the hot soap water for more than 15 minutes or overnight might make it easier to clean. I have only tried 10 minutes and then washing it with my bar soap (GoodSoap from wholefoods) It takes time to wash/rinse out and I usually do at least 3-5 rinses, soaping it up and then ringing it out. The pink beauty blenders still releases the pink dye after many times of usage. The purple has much less color bleed out when washing. Their Bb solid cleanser (solid round soap, I got a mini sample size) works well too but I used it up and don’t want to spend $16 on a soap.

Affordable & Available Kylie Leo Liquid Lipstick DUPES
I know, almost all my recent posts are bout Kylie, Kylie, Kylie – I apologize.
On Instagram I read many people were not able to order the Kylie limited birthday edition Leo liquid lipstick, because it sold out already or simply was on stuck on a “frozen” page. I couldn’t “letitgooo” so I tried the second restock and got regular sized Leo instead of the mini matte set that sold out in a split second (60 seconds, I lied). After I was able to acquire Leo in my haa-ands, I went and ordered some colourpop colors I felt looked similar for $6 each–and as rumor or fact has it that Kylie and Colourpop are made from the same manufacturer. Some colors I will discuss are almost an exact dupe. So I tried about 10 colors from my collection that look like similar to Leo, but some when swatched were either too purple or too red so I left those out for the dupe comparisons. Below are the best dupes I could personally find.
Dupe #1: Colourpop LAX is from their Ultra matte liquid lipsticks line. It is slightly deeper than Leo, but if you layer Leo more I think they are an exact match on my non pigmented lips. Both formulas are watery in consistency and have the same doe foot applicator. It is a bit drying and if applied too heavily will crack. Buy it here for $6
Dupe #2: Colourpop Prim is from their Ultra satin liquid lipstick line, that is not trans-proof but matte and comfortable on the lips. I think this is a close dupe for Leo but is more reddish than the deepness of Leo. Also the ultra satin formula does need some maintenance especially since this dark color can get everywhere, making you look like a clown or the joker after eating some yummy tacos. Dupe 4# Anastasia Beverly Hills Heathers liquid lipstick is close in color but a little more subtle color. Formula-wise it is drying but very long wear. Buy it here for $20
Dupe 5# Colourpop Rooch Ultra matte liquid lipstick from their Karrueche Collaboration. This color is beautiful, it has a rusty undertone and not as deep as Leo. This would be the least of the bunch as a dupe. Being one of my favorite colors, it complements my skin tone, whitens my teeth, and really colour popping. The only downfall is after 4-5 hours it does start cracking a little. Some have experienced major cracking immediately. I will continue to wear it and buy a backup, because from all the colourpop colors I own this color I have gotten the most compliments and questions on. 🙂 Get yourself one, fall is just around the corner.
Dupe #6: Colourpop Lax + Colourpop Prim I think a mixture of both colors would help the drying part and the non-transferproofness. Don’t forget to preppare your lips by exfoliating, wear lip balm a half hour before, and use a lip primer. Colourpop offers a cheap $5 lip primer here.

Kylie Cosmetics Collection Swatches, Video, & Review Summary
My entire collection of KylieCosmetics.com swatches. Dolce K was the very first lipkit I got this year, then the metals (3), Exposed, and then finally Leo along with Lord. I was disappointed with Dolce K as it crumbles and cracks within minutes on my lips, that I never worn it out for the day, only at home. The metal matte liquid lipsticks are comfy on the lips but not transfer-proof, it seems the darker the metal the better in pigment. Lighter Kylie metal liquid lipsticks are harder to get an even application as well as washes me out. Since they do not dry down, it can be used as a highlight or mixed with another matte or metal color. With Leo and Exposed, I like the formula and it wasn’t like Dolce K. They were a bit runny and watery in formula, but comfortable on the lips. Leo wears nicely on my lips without lip liner. Exposed I can do with or without a liner. I wonder if and when Kylie will open a store front in Los Angeles, CA soon – where I live. 🙂

Kylie Birthday Edition Last Restock Today 8/10 3PM pst: Swatches, 1st Impressions, and Reign Dupe.
These limited edition Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks were hard to ge but I was able to get the Leo lipkit and Lord metal liquid lipstick on the 2nd round of restock but not the minis. Initially, I talked myself into only getting the mini set which includes 6 colors, but they sold out like.literally. in a minute, not cute! Today is the 4th and final round of restock which is on her actual Birthday. Will you be trying to buy anything? Well, I give up, as the quality really is similar to Colourpop and the hefty $8.95 shipping is LEOdicrous.
So I received Kylie Leo & Lord yesterday 8/9 (ordered on 8/4) , and prior to receiving them I watched a youtube review of how Leo wore. Usually, I am too lazy to apply the lip liner, but with these darker colors and per the YT review the liner will help alleviate some of the unevenness. Also layering it too much does get uncomfortable, and lip movement is a bit restricted. The lord metallic liquid lipstick looks more like a bronzy gold and is something I would never wear alone, I would mix it or use it as a topper. The skeptical part of me did check to see if “Gold” was an ingredient listed on the box, and it is. In my opinion, Colourpop metallics wear better and has a way better price point. Funny thing is Lord topped on Leo is a real good dupe for Reign! (See pictures below) I think this is the 3rd and last order I will make from Kylie, till maybe when she opens her storefront in LA.

Ironically, I am not a huge fan of the metallic liquid lipstick but I was curious to find a good formula and a metallic that is mixable or can be used as a topper or a subtle lip highlight.
